Cypress Real Estate & Homes for Sale in Texas

This suburban community, located just 20 miles northwest of Houston's central business district, has evolved from a primarily rural area into one of the most desirable areas in Harris County. Bordering Houston and Tomball, residents of Cypress enjoy an excellent quality of life, superior education, diverse and affordable housing, recreation, culture, and a favorable business environment. Its "main street," a seven lane state highway, winds through residential and commercial developments, past cow pastures, prairies, and forested acreage. Nationally known golf courses are nestled among stately stands of century oaks and pine trees.

There is a strong housing demand in Cypress because of its pleasing amenities, its highly acclaimed and exemplary schools, and its close proximity to Houston's large job base. In response, area builders generate a wide variety of affordably priced subdivisions, custom homes, townhouses and apartments.

Champions Forest, Champions Bend and Champions Creek were some of the very first subdivisions developed in what was called the Cypress-Fairbanks area (Cy-Fair). That section is now re-zoned and known as the Klein ISD area. More than 200,000 residents in Cy-Fair enjoy Houston's performance halls, convention facilities and major sporting events but unwind at home in well-appointed neighborhoods such as Lakewood Forest, Lakewood Grove, Longwood, Fairfield, Coles Crossing, Cypress Creek, Canyon Lake, Riata Ranch, Tuscany, Village Creek, Glennloch Farms, Thousand Oakes, Stable Gate, Prestonwood, Cypress Point and many others, where homes range from $100,000 to more than $800,000.
